The GTMC invites you on an incredible journey through the unknown and wild landscapes of the Massif Central.
On the menu for this hike: the volcanoes of Auvergne, the Cévennes National Park, the plateaus of the Grands Causses before a triumphant arrival on the shores of the Mediterranean.
A route on paths and trails of nearly 1400 km to discover with friends, family or solo!
Avallon is a very pleasant medieval city, particularly known for its terraced gardens. This is where the GTMC begins, first with a crossing of the Morvan Regional Natural Park. The ideal opportunity to enjoy the landscapes, fauna and flora of the park.
By bike, in a setting that may remind you of Nordic countries, between mountains and lakes, you will pedal on trails that are rather technically accessible.
The GTMC crosses 4 regional natural parks:
· the Morvan Regional Natural Park
· the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Natural Park
· the Cévennes National Park
· the Grands Causses Regional Natural Park
Many remarkable sites and villages, from north to south:

· Charroux, a village classified among the most beautiful in France
· the summit of Puy de Dôme
· the Domaine du Sauvage
· the Millau viaduct
· the Cirque de Navacelles
